Taylor Swift now has THREE different genre classifications under her belt! Her latest album, which was released as a complete surprise on July 24th, is titled ‘folklore’ and has been classified as an alternative album. Swift’s first four albums are country, then she switched to pop with her next three albums, making her eighth album her first alternative classified album.

The album features 16 tracks that are influenced by multiple alternative artists. Featuring collaborations with Bon Iver’s Justin Vernon, The National’s Aaron Dessner, and Jack Antonoff of Bleachers and fun., this album sounds completely different than her previous albums.
