Simpson has been on parole since Oct. 1, 2017 and was originally sentenced to stay on parole until Feb. 9, 2022. Simpson’s parole followed his release from prison for armed robbery, kidnapping, and assault with a weapon.

The Nevada Parole Board released a statement, noting it “awarded credits in an amount equal to the time remaining on the sentence to reduce the sentence to time served,” KTNV reported.

Simpson was convicted in October 2008 of leading five men, two armed, in an attempt to retrieve personal items and memorabilia from collectibles dealers at a hotel-casino in Las Vegas, The Associated Press previously reported.
