Phoebe Bridgers shares how she’s inspired by Taylor Swift

Phoebe Bridgers reveals she takes inspiration from her good friend and collaborator Taylor Swift, but not necessarily in the way you may think.

"I take inspiration from the people I see who are happy, and I'm still trying to," Phoebe tells Rolling Stone in a new interview about the return of her band boygenius. She notes Taylor's "such a deep, wise human being, and has not sacrificed fun at all."

Bridgers adds, "She validates those boundaries that people have tried to take from her for her whole life."

One of the ways Phoebe tries to keep herself happy is by surrounding herself with the right people. “You don’t hear enough about how people become successful and then happy,” she says. “I’m able to hire my best friends to travel the world with me, and I don’t have any s***** people around anymore."

And Taylor and Phoebe are bound to be around each other a lot more this year, as Bridgers is one of the artists set to open for Taylor on her Eras Tour, which kicks off March 17 in Glendale, Arizona. Phoebe joins the tour May 5 at Nashville’s Nissan Stadium.
