Eddie Vedder & more contribute to upcoming Neil Young tribute album

Cinema Music Group/Killphonic Records

Pearl Jam's Eddie Vedder is among the artists contributing to an upcoming tribute album to Neil Young.

The set is titled Heart of Gold: The Songs of Neil Young and is divided into two volumes. The first, which features Vedder's version of the track "The Needle and the Damage Done," drops April 25.

The Volume I track list also includes Mumford & Sons covering "Harvest," The Lumineers covering "Sugar Mountain" and Fiona Apple covering "Heart of Gold."

Two cuts from the album, Courtney Barnett's take on "Lotta Love" and Chris Pierce's rendition of "Southern Man," are out now.

Proceeds from Heart of Gold will benefit The Bridge School, an educational institution for children with severe speech and physical disabilities.
