Deftones kicked off their U.S. tour Thursday night in Portland, Oregon, marking not only their first show in over two years, but also their first show following the departure of longtime bassist Sergio Vega.

As noted by Consequence in its recap of the concert, Vega's replacement is Fred Sablan, who previously played bass in Marilyn Manson's live band from 2010 to 2014.

Vega, who had been with Deftones since 2009, announced in a statement this past March that he'd left the band last year due to a contract dispute.

Deftones' tour, which also features Gojira on the bill, is set to continue Saturday in Seattle. The pandemic-delayed outing, which was originally scheduled for 2020, is supporting Deftones' 2020 album, Ohms.
