Death Cab for Cutie shares updated "Foxglove Through the Clearcut" off 'Asphalt Meadows (Acoustic)' album

Death Cab for Cutie has shared another preview of the band's upcoming Asphalt Meadows (Acoustic) album with the unplugged version of the song "Foxglove Through the Clearcut."

The updated recording's stripped-down arrangement puts an even greater emphasis on Ben Gibbard's spoken-word vocals. You can listen to it now via digital outlets.

Asphalt Meadows (Acoustic) will be released March 10. As its title suggests, the collection features acoustic reworkings of each song off Death Cab's new Asphalt Meadows album, which was released last September. It also includes a bonus cover of the Low song "The Plan."

Death Cab is about to launch a European tour in support of Asphalt Meadows, and will return to the U.S. for a headlining trek in May. In September, the group will link up with Gibbard's other band The Postal Service for a co-headlining tour celebrating the 20th anniversary of their respective 2003 albums, Transatlanticism and Give Up.
