Coldplay performed on the very first episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live! back in 2003. Now, frontman Chris Martin is set to return to the ABC late-night show for its 20th anniversary.
A primetime 20th anniversary Jimmy Kimmel Live! special will air January 26 — exactly 20 years since its first episode aired — at 10 p.m. ET. Martin will be joined by that premiere episode's other two guests, George Clooney and Snoop Dogg.
"If you watch the first show, apparently I said about Coldplay, 'We wanted somebody that we'd still be proud we had on the show'" in 20 years, Kimmel tells Variety. "That's kind of cool, considering that that's exactly what happened."
The special will re-air during the usual Kimmel timeslot at 11:35 p.m. ET.
