The Last Dinner Party

London's The Last Dinner Party combines maximalist pop grandeur with hook-filled baroque indie rock to create bold modern stadium anthems. Their acclaimed debut album, Prelude to Ecstasy (2024), and its darker, mythic follow-up, From the Pyre (2025), traffic in theatrical, emotionally rich pop that evokes world-building artists like Sparks, Kate Bush, and Siouxsie and the Banshees.

Founded in 2021 by Abigail Morris (vocals), Lizzie Mayland (vocals, guitar), Emily Roberts (lead guitar, mandolin, flute), Georgia Davies (bass), and Aurora Nishevci (keys, vocals), the band initially operated under the name the Dinner Party before adopting their current moniker in 2022. One of the most buzzed-about acts on the London live circuit -- they landed an opening slot for the Rolling Stones in Hyde Park without having released a single yet -- the Last Dinner Party inked a deal with Island ahead of the arrival of 2023's "Nothing Matters." Potent, brash and majestic, the song lived up to the hype, garnering millions of streams and setting the table for the group's debut full-length effort, Prelude to Ecstasy, in 2024. The album debuted at number one on the UK Albums Chart and earned them the Rising Star Brit Award and BBC Sound of 2024 honors, as well as a Mercury Prize nomination. Looking to keep the momentum going, the group issued their sophomore effort, From the Pyre, just one year later.
