Out In Front

Los Angeles trio Out In Front pairs earworm hooks and easy SoCal vibes to create anthemic, emo-tinged punk-pop that feels both nostalgic and vital. The band's unlikely origin story -- the trio met while working as pros at a tennis club -- and a shared love for bands like Paramore, blink-182, and the 1975, yielded an alchemical spark. Before long, Madie Renner, Isaiah Volk, and Ryen Wagner were shaping their sound via fevered garage rehearsals and home studio sessions. Early tracks like "Golden State" and "Happy Graduation Day" found favor in the L.A. rock and emo community, but it was the band's 2025 debut EP, Straight Up to Space, that brought them mainstream attention. Featuring the massive streaming hit "fLoAT," the six-song set is simultaneously gritty and uplifting and rooted in themes of self-worth, dissociation, and destructive coping mechanisms.
