Warren Township Fire Chief Joe Natali said that the oak tree crashed into a home in Leavittsburg in Trumbull County, killing the 13-year-old, WKBN-TV reported.

Power outages were reported throughout the Mahoning Valley for the second consecutive Saturday, according to the Tribune Chronicle. High winds and heavy rains slashed through the area at about 1:09 p.m. EDT, the newspaper reported.

According to a Facebook post by the Warren Township Fire Department, there was “extensive structural damage to the house.”

Firefighters were hindered in removing the teen from the rubble due to the precarious stability of the house, officials said.

According to The Vindicator newspaper of Youngstown, Ohio Edison reported that more than 60,000 customers in Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana counties were without power.

An investigation is ongoing. The identity of the teen has not been released.
