MIAMI — A Florida rapper wants to give back to the families of two federal agents who were shot and killed last week during a child pornography raid in Sunrise.
According to the South Florida Sun Sentinel and WSVN-TV, Kodak Black’s attorney said the 23-year-old rapper, who is originally from Pompano Beach, would like to cover college costs for the children of Federal Bureau of Investigation agents Daniel Alfin and Laura Schwartzenberger, who were slain Feb. 2.
The attorney, Bradford Cohen, recently contacted the FBI’s Miami office about Black’s tuition offer for Schwartzenberger’s sons, who are 4 and 9, and Alfin’s young son, the news outlets reported. The details are still being ironed out, Cohen told WSVN.
Black, born Bill Kapri, made headlines last month when then-President Donald Trump commuted Black’s 46-month prison sentence for making a false statement on a federal document. In a Jan. 20 news release, the White House lauded Black’s acts of philanthropy, including “providing educational resources to students and families of fallen law enforcement officers and the underprivileged.”
