Florida man tries to buy Porsche, Rolex watches with checks printed from home computer, police say

WALTON COUNTY, Fla. — A Florida man tried to buy a Porsche and Rolex watches with checks he printed from his home computer, investigators said.

Authorities said Casey William Kelley, 42, walked into a Okaloosa County car dealership Monday and left in a Porsche 911 Turbo after writing a $139,203.05 check that was printed from his home computer, WALA reported.

The next day Kelley went to a Miramar Beach jeweler and bought three Rolex watches with a $61,521 home made check. The jeweler kept the watches to make sure the check cleared, when they did not cash, they called deputies.

Kelley was arrested and charged with grand theft of a motor vehicle and uttering a false banknote. He was taken to jail without incident, WALA reported.
