Dave Grohl and Josh Homme are set to appear in the upcoming docuseries SNL50: Beyond Saturday Night, which celebrates the 50th anniversary of Saturday Night Live.

The Foo Fighters and Queens of the Stone Age frontmen will be part of the third episode, which is dedicated to the "More Cowbell" sketch.

The infamous "More Cowbell," which premiered in 2000, was centered around the recording of the Blue Öyster Cult's classic tune "(Don't Fear) The Reaper." It featured cast members Chris Kattan, Jimmy Fallon, Chris Parnell and Horatio Sanz as members of Blue Öyster Cult, as well as Will Ferrell as fictional cowbell player Gene Frenkle and Christopher Walken as producer Bruce Dickinson.

SNL50: Beyond Saturday Night premieres Jan. 16 on Peacock.

Grohl is also appearing in an SNL special focused on the show's musical guests, titled Ladies & Gentlemen … 50 Years of SNL Music. That premieres Jan. 27 on NBC.
