Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness has announced a U.S. headlining tour for this fall.

The trek, which kicks off September 27 in San Diego, is dubbed the Three Pianos tour after McMahon's upcoming memoir of the same name.

"Never have I been more excited to announce a tour," McMahon says. "The weirdness we are emerging from has left its mark on all of us and I have been dreaming of the day we could gather in rooms again and shake off its effects together."

He adds, "I will be traveling light this time. Surrounded by a small group of friends, performing a set of songs that for me are like mile markers on the map of my life."

The trek is mapped out through a December 2 concert in Los Angeles.
