97X Next Big Thing Throwback presented by Clean Earth Systems: 97X Next Big Thing 14

Over 14,000 fans crowded into Vinoy Park for the 14th 97X Next Big Thing on December 6, 2014. The show was headlined by Fall Out Boy who were making their first 97X Next Big Thing appearance. In addition to Fall Out Boy, six other bands on the lineup had never played an NBT, leaving only two bands on the lineup had performed at an NBT previously (Young The Giant & Dirty Heads). Young Rising Sons kicked off the day, followed by performances from Bear Hands and Big Data. J. Roddy Walston & The Business thrilled the crowd before New Politics exploded onstage with breakdancing, a Beastie Boys cover, stage dives and more. The Dirty Heads hit the stage at sunset for the perfect transition into the final evening’s performances. Alt-J played their first, and currently only performance in the Tampa Bay area which featured an amazing light show.  Young The Giant played hit after hit and set the stage for Fall Out Boy to close out the show. Their 90 minute set featured a multitude of hit songs bringing to close an unforgettable day of music.
