Nickelback, Avril Lavigne among nominees for 2023 Juno Awards

Former couple Chad Kroeger and Avril Lavigne may reunite at the 2023 Juno Awards.

Both Nickelback and the "Sk8er Boi" artist are among the nominees for the upcoming ceremony, which is the Canadian equivalent of the Grammys.

Lavigne is up for a total of five Junos, including Artist of the Year; Album of the Year for Love Sux, which was co-produced by Blink-182's Travis Barker; and Single of the Year for "Bite Me."

Nickelback, meanwhile, will compete for the Rock Album of the Year prize with their latest effort, Get Rollin', as will Three Days Grace with Explosions and Alexisonfire with Otherness.

Kroeger and company are also set to perform at the show, during which they'll be inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame.

Other Juno nominees include Arcade Fire and Metric for Group of the Year.

The 2023 Junos take place March 13. For the full list of nominees, visit JunoAwards.ca.
