New details have been released about Stephen Paddock, 64, who opened fire on people attending the Route 91 Harvest music festival on Oct. 1, 2017. The shooting left 58 people dead and wounded hundreds of others, according to The Wall Street Journal. Two additional people died later from their injuries.

The newspaper reported that FBI documents don’t reveal Paddock’s motive, but they do provide a detailed look at his gambling habits and what may have been going on in his mind leading up to the shooting.

Another gambler told the FBI that Paddock was upset with how the casinos had been treating him, as well as other “high rollers,” according to the Journal. The other gambler said that Paddock was upset about VIP customer perks over the years prior to the shooting, and the stress of that was possibly what made him snap.

The FBI and the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department have not released an official motive, according to The Associated Press, but both say Paddock was the only shooter.

The shooting happened on the third day of the Route 91 Harvest music festival, which was located in an area across the street from Mandalay Bay resort, according to the AP. Paddock shot bullets into the crowd from a corner suite that was located on the 32nd floor of Mandalay Bay.
