MANCHESTER, England — A car thief thought he had found the perfect hiding spot when police went to arrest him, but he should have held his breath.
When police in Greater Manchester, England, went to arrest Joshua Dobson, 18, for stealing a car, police didn’t find him immediately. In what was likely an attempt to hide from the law, Dobson cut a hole at the base of the large stuffed animal and crawled inside.

Police noticed that the giant stuffed bear was “breathing” during their search and found Dobson hiding inside.
Police shared photos and some humor from the arrest on Facebook:
“He’s now stuffed behind bars after being sentenced last week for theft of a motor vehicle, driving while disqualified, and making off from a petrol station without payment. Hopefully, he has a bearable time inside”
Dobson was sentenced to nine months in jail.
