Whenever we add music for voting on 97x - whether it's cool new stuff or inspired by the "Suggest A Song" space on the app/website - we will let you know through our New Music Blog!
Some of today's songs were suggested through the app, but they're also all cool new music. So I thought I'd post a video with each so you can check them out. Let us know what you think!
The new Fall Out Boy album Save Rock And Roll has only been out for two months, but “The Phoenix” quickly became one of the most suggested songs. It’s their next single, and now you can vote for it!
Alt-J scored a Best Art Direction nomination at MTV’s upcoming 2013 Video Music Awards for “Tessellate” off of An Awesome Wave.
The Neighbourhood picked “Afraid” to follow-up “Sweater Weather” as their next single off I Love You. It doesn’t have an official video yet, but you can watch these fuzzy dice.
Passion Pit get weird in an art gallery for their “I’ll Be Alright” clip. It’s the third single from Gossamer.
Finally, Australian four-piece San Cisco sound a bit more jangly and polished on “Fred Astaire” than they did on the more garage-leaning “Awkward”.
What do you think of these songs? Let us know in the comments! Be sure to add your favorites to the playlist on the 97x app or 97xonline.com to vote for them. And don’t forget to send us your Open Mic requests!
