Jack White seriously doubts a reunion of his old group The White Stripes will ever happen. He spoke to NME:
"I would probably say absolutely not. Absolutely no chance. I couldn't see any reason to ever do that. I'm not the kind of person that would retire from baseball and come out of retirement the next year. I mean, if we went to all the trouble of telling people we're done, we meant it you know?... If we were forced to change our mind about that, I can only imagine the reason being if we went bankrupt or really needed the cash, which would be a really sad thing. I would probably be issuing an apology along with the announcement of the show dates."
Is it mean to hope someone goes bankrupt? In the meantime, Jack White's solo debut album Blunderbuss drops April 24.

The Black Keys made peace with Nickelback (sort of) and now turn their ire towards the streaming music service Spotify. Sean Parker (the guy played by Justin Timberlake in The Social Network) claimed at the recent South-By-Southwest festival that Spotify would overtake iTunes in revenue in two years. When asked about that in an interview, The Black Keys' Patrick Carney called Parker "an asshole [with] $2 billion that he made from figuring out ways to steal royalties from artists," referring to Parker's role in founding Napster, one of the original peer-to-peer file-sharing services used for music piracy. The Black Keys made news last fall when they blocked access to their new album El Camino from streaming music services like Spotify.
