Paramore released the song "Monster" earlier this year. The band promises to share three more new songs over as many months if you join the Paramore Singles Club. You can hear "Renegade" now, with more to follow on the first Mondays of November and December. A statement from the band reads, "We really wanted to do something special for all of you around the holidays to thank you for making 2011 so amazing and sticking with us as we go into 2012 and start working on the new album."

33 years ago today, former Sex Pistols bassist Sid Vicious was arrested for the murder of his girlfriend Nancy Spungen. The story became a somewhat famous film thanks to the 1986 biopic Sid & Nancy starring a young Gary Oldman.
Human rights icon Nelson Mandela has died at his home at the age of 95. The anti-apartheid leader and former South African president had been receiving treatment at home following three hospitalizations in the first half of 2013.
