Courtney Love lashed out at a fan holding up a picture of Kurt Cobain at a Hole concert in Brazil last weekend. According to Billboard, Love said:
"I don't need to see a picture of Kurt, asshole, and I'm gonna have you fucking removed if you keep holding it up," she began, flashing her middle finger. "I'm not Kurt. I have to live with his fucking shit, and his ghost, and his kid, every day."
And that was Love being polite.
After snapping back, "Go see the fucking Foo Fighters [ex-Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl's band] and do that shit," and threatening to attack the fan, Love retreated offstage. Only after a crew member led the audience in a chant of "Foo Fighters are gay," did the set -- during which Love flashed the crowd -- resume.
The video contains NSFW language. You can watch it at Billboard.
Nickelback haters and pro-Detroit folks, some 75,000 of them, signed an online petition asking the Detroit Lions not to host a halftime performance by the Canadian rockers at the Thanksgiving Day home game. While no representative from the team has responded to requests for comments, United Way has. United Way is the beneficiary of both Nickelback's performance and NFL's charity outreach.
Weezer fans who long for the days of Pinkerton should be excited. Rivers Cuomo's third collection of home demos and diaries focuses on that era. Rivers Cuomo - The Pinkerton Diaries and Alone III is available for pre-order at Rivers' website.
Angels & Airwaves' Tom DeLonge says the band will tour starting in January 2012. He thinks next year will be a big one for his 'other' band.
Red Hot Chili Peppers posted their new video for "Monarchy of Roses." Background on the concept behind the clip is here.
