I know that I've been all about Steve Jobs since the announcement of his death yesterday. I don't expect that most are as passionate or saddened by his passing as I am. 99% of people see Jobs as that Apple guy. I get it. I truly understand. But what you'll come to understand over time is that he changed the world. He not only changed the world but the way individuals interact with it and each other. His innovation and forward thinking forced entire global industries to evolve or die (the music industry, mobile phones, PDAs, et al).

The reason I'm honestly saddened by his passing is because the planet got robbed of the world's most powerful computer. Mankind should have been able to benefit from that for at least another 30 years. Generally speaking, the world is a better place because of Steve Jobs' genius. But today it's just a little bit less better.

It'll take more than a few generations before the world sees another Steve Jobs. My screen flies at half brightness today.
