The Nature Coast Chapter of the Florida Native Plant Society meets the second Tuesday of every month at 7:00 PM at The Land O’ Lakes Community Center, 5401 Land O’ Lakes Blvd/US 41, Land O’ Lakes, 34639, between SR 52 and SR 54. Land O’ Lakes Community Center is located on the west side of the highway. Enter the rear meeting room through the middle courtyard from the south side of the building. The subject of the Tuesday, April 9, 2013 program is “Ecosystem Gardening”, presented by Ginny Stibolt, a life-long gardener with a master’s degree in Botany, and author of “Sustainable Gardening for Florida”, and co-author of “Organic Methods for Vegetable Gardening in Florida”. Ginny will speak about the role native plants and natural habitats play to help increase the success and productivity of edible gardens in the landscape. Join us to learn from Ginny more good reasons to surround your garden with native plants! Ginny will have her new book, “Organic Methods for Vegetable Gardening in Florida”, available for purchase and signing!
