Gardening for Grades is a Teacher Resource Guide from Florida Agriculture in the Classroom, Inc. This resource is to help teachers incorporate school gardens in teaching for various subjects in the classroom. Information in this guide include resources for grant money, how to start a garden, what to plant and when, as well as lessons that are aligned with Next Generation Sunshine Standards. We are inviting teachers from pre-kindergarten through 12th grade in both general education and agri-science to participate. This training will discuss vegetable gardening basics as well as other curriculum resources that teachers can use in the classroom. The event will also include a hands-on gardening activity and tour of the garden. Lunch will be provided.
