Mini Palm SchoolPresented by Monica Elliott, Ph.D.For Master Gardeners Only Dr. Monica Elliott, Professor of Plant Pathology, University of Florida/IFAS, will present an advanced Master Gardener  workshop that will discuss palm morphology, physiological disorders, common nutritional deficiencies, common palm diseases, and proper management of palms growing in a landscape (fertilization and pruning). She will be emphasizing diagnostic problems that are brought to County Plant Diagnostic Clinics.The training is a scaled down version of the 2-day class known as "Palm Management in the Florida Landscape."When:    February 13, 2013 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. with a one hour lunch break in our beautiful gardensWhere:  Kendrick Auditorium, Manatee County Agriculture and Extension Service located at 1303 17th Street  West in Palmetto, Florida 34221Registration Fee:  Workshop is $5.00 registration fee, payable at the door. Cash or check only. Checks made payable to Friends of Extension.  Lunch not included, please bring a brown bag lunch. Refrigerator available.
