Gumbi Ortiz's New Groove City Gumbi Ortiz who is known around the world for his exciting conga performance and extensive knowledge of rhythm & percussion presents his new band New Groove City. For the past 20 years, Gumbi has been an integral part of superstar guitarist, Al DiMeola's band. He is also a top notch educator, session player and leader of Florida based, " Latino Projekt," which officially became New Groove City to reflect the more soulful direction the band has taken.
New Groove City's new album features an eight-piece tour de force band.
