The American Board, a non-profit dedicated to recruiting and certifying community-based teachers in Florida, will host a public event on how local residents can become certified Florida teachers. Attendees will learn what to expect in a career as a teacher and receive advisement on a personalized path to certification. The events will be held, Wednesday December 5 at 4:00 pm and 5:30 pm at the New Tampa YMCA, 16221 Compton Drive in Tampa and will be led by Florida Teacher Certification Specialist Lauren Schubel. The event is free and open to the public.
