More than 60 different Hillsborough and Pinellas County service providers collaborated to conduct a Resource Fair for attendees, providing knowledge of local assistance for victims of sexual/domestic violence. The Tampa Police Department with Chief of Police Jane Castor, local news anchors Keith Cate and Lissette Campos, Commissioner Ken Hagan, former NFL Buccaneer’s player Ian Beckles and many other notable mentions also attended the event to create social change and actively support survivors of sexual violence. Each year this event increases in size and persons served. By joining the Sexual Violence Task Force and Crisis Center of Tampa Bay, your organization will have the opportunity to showcase services assisting survivors and their families. Each Resource Fair participant will be issued one half or full table, depending on the organization's needs or requests, the day of the event. Resource Fair participants are welcome and encouraged to bring a canopy for their table, with a maximum size of 10’x10’ sq./ft. In view of the fact this event is dedicated to survivor empowerment, education and community awareness of sexual violence, the sale of merchandise will not be permitted.Thank you for your time and consideration of joining the “Take Back the Night” Resource Fair at Curtis Hixon Park on April 21st, 2013.For Resource Fair questions or additional event details, please contact: Andrea Thompson, Change Chair Phone: (813) 951-2824 Email at athompson@ut.eduSpace is limited and for that reason we look forward to receiving your commitment no later than February 15th, 2013 so that we may begin the strategic placement planning to best showcase your business.
