UPDATE Sept. 25: On Sept. 22, Tidal has announced it’s third annual “Tidal X: Brooklyn” benefit concert for Oct. 17 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
“This year, the platform will raise awareness and funds for organizations that support relief and recovery for those affected by the unprecedented natural disasters,” Tidal said in a news release. “One hundred percent of ticket proceeds will be donated to these organizations including, Global Giving, All Hands Volunteers, Kids in Need Foundation, Direct Relief, One America Appeal, Greater Houston Community Foundation, American Civil Liberties Union, Miami Community Foundation and more.”
Although performers have not been confirmed Beyonce and Jay-Z have performed at past benefits. Angie Martinez will host the event.
Last week, Beyonce participated in Hand in Hand, a telethon benefiting survivors of Hurricane Harvey that was telecast across multiple networks Sept. 12.
Before then, the singer returned to her hometown of Houston with her mother, Tina Knowles Lawson, daughter Blue Ivy, and friend and former Destiny’s Child member, singer Michelle Williams. The trip was part of a relief effort with her BeyGood Foundation. Beyonce sponsored a luncheon and served survivors with her family.
Us Weekly reported that several artists from Jay-Z’s entertainment company, Roc Nation, are set to join the couple at the Barclay’s Center.
The benefit concert is set for Oct. 17 at Barclays Center, according to the report.
